Join Chittenden County Forester Ethan Tapper and for a walk in the woods on the Hinesburg Town Forest to showcase the active forest management on these public lands. Wildlife habitat biologist Andrea Shortsleeve will also help lead the walk to discuss the wildlife found there and how they benefit from a healthy forest.
Meet at the end of Economou Road in Huntington (the Hinesburg Town Forest is just over the town line into Hinesburg). We will walk through the active timber harvest. Come with appropriate clothing and footwear to walk in the winter woods for a couple hours.
