New Location for St. Johnsbury Regional Office Dec. 19

ST. JOHNSBURY—The Agency of Natural Resources’ regional office in St. Johnsbury is moving to a new location at the end of this week. Residents and businesses served by this office are advised of the upcoming change and temporary office closing.

The current office location on Portland Street (Route 2) will be closed Friday, December 16 to accommodate final moving procedures. If you need immediate assistance during this time, please call the Agency of Natural Resources main office in Montpelier at (802) 828-1294.

The regional Agency office will re-open for normal operations on Monday, December 19 at the new office location: 374 Emerson Falls Road, Suite 4. Phone numbers for each Department in the office will remain the same.

The regional outpost serves residents and businesses in northeastern Vermont seeking information and assistance on environmental permitting, managing forest and lands, purchasing hunting and fishing licenses, and a variety of other issues. Three departments are represented in the office: Environmental Conservation, Fish and Wildlife, and Forests, Parks and Recreation. The Act 250 District 7 Environmental Commission, which handles Act 250 procedures and processes, is also represented.

The St. Johnsbury office was scheduled to move after a change in property ownership at the former leased office building on Portland Street. Staff at the new regional office at Emerson Falls will be able to continue to serve the public in a beautiful complex of restored historic buildings that originally housed a Federal fish hatchery.
