Westmore, Vt. — The trails on Mount Pisgah in Willoughby State Forest will be closed for several days this weekend beginning Friday, May 19. The Department of Forests, Parks, and Recreation is asking hikers to please be respectful of the trail closure situation and find alternative places to hike this weekend.
The Vermont State Police are conducting a recovery operation in the area, and anticipate completing the operation by the end of the weekend. During this time, a suggested alternative hike is the new Wheeler Mountain trail, located off Wheeler Mountain Road in Sutton.
