Language Access Plan

The Language Access Plan (LAP) is the guidance the Agency of Natural Resources is planning to implement on how the ANR will deliver information and services to persons with limited English proficiency and persons with varying levels of hearing, sight, or speech loss and other communication needs.

We are in the stage in the plan where we are looking for community/stakeholder input through in-person and virtual public meetings. Specifically, we want to mobilize Vermonters who will be directly impacted by this plan in order for them to provide relevant feedback and comments/suggestions to our plan.

Written comments on the Language Access Plan can be submitted by email to anr.civilrights@vermont.gov. Public comments must be received by 5:00 pm EST on October 28, 2022. Attendance at public meetings is not necessary to submit written comments.

Limited English Proficiency

The Interim Limited English Proficiency Accessibility Plan, aligned with federal civil rights laws, regulations, and guidance, is the Agency of Natural Resource's blueprint to support the meaningful and timely participation of our neighbors with limited English language proficiency. ANR anticipates finalizing this plan following a public engagement process and updating it on a periodic basis.
